Submit your original, high-quality music or video Content with accurate metadata and contact information.
Submission is FREE. Acceptance, playback, promotion, and continued rotation are not guaranteed.
We reserve the right to select featured artists.
By submitting Content through the official 805 Heat Wavz music submission form, you acknowledge that you have reviewed, understand, and agree to the Music Submission Terms listed below.

1. DEFINITIONS
“805 Heat Wavz” means 805 Heat Wavz Podcast Radio, 805HeatWavz.com, and related services and activities operated under the 805 Heat Wavz brand.
“Website” means 805HeatWavz.com and related services.
“User” means anyone submitting Content or using the Website.
“Submitter” or “Artist” means the person, artist, group, label, representative, or other party submitting Content to 805 Heat Wavz.
“Content” means music, sound recordings, instrumentals, images, artwork, videos, text, metadata, and other material submitted or provided to 805 Heat Wavz.
2. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California.
Unless applicable law requires otherwise, disputes arising from these Music Submission Terms may be brought in an appropriate state or federal court serving Ventura County, California.
3. SUBMISSION TERMS
The submitter retains copyright ownership of submitted Content to the extent the submitter lawfully owns those rights.
Submitting Content does not transfer ownership of the original music, recording, artwork, video, or other submitted material to 805 Heat Wavz.
By submitting Content through the official 805 Heat Wavz music submission form, the submitter grants only the licenses and permissions described in these Music Submission Terms.
Submission is free unless otherwise stated and does not guarantee acceptance, radio rotation, continued rotation, promotion, Support The Culture Store placement, or any other form of placement or use.
If a track is submitted as “Exclusive to 805 Heat Wavz,” the submitter represents that the track is not publicly available through another radio station, streaming service, music store, website, video platform, or other public distribution service at the time of submission. The submitter must notify 805 Heat Wavz if the track is later made publicly available elsewhere. 805 Heat Wavz may remove exclusive status and any related priority, promotional, or Store eligibility if exclusive status is inaccurate or is not kept current.
4. REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES
By submitting Content, the submitter represents and warrants that the submitted song is an original work and that the submitter owns or has properly licensed all rights, permissions, and clearances necessary to submit the Content and grant the uses described in these Terms.
The submitter represents and warrants that the Content and the permissions granted to 805 Heat Wavz do not infringe the copyrights, trademarks, contractual rights, publicity rights, privacy rights, or other legal rights of another person or party.
5. DELIVERY FORMAT SPECIFICATIONS
Submit music in MP3 format (required): 320kbps bitrate, with complete ID3 tags and accurate metadata.
Submit music in WAV format (required): 32-bit float preferred when available from the original master, 24-bit WAV accepted, 16-bit WAV accepted, 44.1kHz or higher preferred.
Track Image / Artwork (required): square image, minimum 1400 x 1400 pixels.
Instrumental Track (optional): highest-quality available file preferred.
For Music Video Submissions (optional):
Submit videos in MP4 format, HD resolution (1280 x 720 or 1920 x 1080 pixels).
Current maximum video upload size: 600MB.
Include accurate artist/band name, song title, album title if applicable, and director/producer credits if applicable.
6. DERIVATIVE WORKS PERMISSION
By submitting music to 805 Heat Wavz, the submitter grants 805 Heat Wavz a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to edit, excerpt, shorten, rearrange, blend, transition, remix, mash up, and otherwise creatively modify or incorporate portions of the submitted music into derivative works.
Submitted vocals, instrumentals, musical sections, and other elements may be combined with other material that 805 Heat Wavz is authorized to use. Derivative works may include substantial portions of a submitted song, and a recording may occasionally play substantially or nearly in full when it remains creatively incorporated into a continuous DJ mix or other larger derivative production.
If an instrumental is not provided, 805 Heat Wavz may use technical tools to isolate or create working audio elements from the submitted recording for derivative uses already authorized under these Terms.
This permission does not authorize 805 Heat Wavz to distribute, give away, or sell the submitter’s complete original master recording as an isolated standalone track. Any standalone distribution or sale of the complete original master requires separate authorization or an applicable distribution agreement.
7. DOCUMENTARY, FILM & VISUAL MEDIA USAGE
Submitted music may be incorporated into documentaries, short films, interviews, promotional videos, trailers, behind-the-scenes features, historical projects, branded visual content, and other audiovisual productions created by or for 805 Heat Wavz.
By submitting music, the artist grants 805 Heat Wavz a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to synchronize and use portions or substantial portions of the submitted music within those productions. These productions may be broadcast, streamed, distributed, sold, monetized, exhibited, or otherwise made available without requiring additional permission or payment for the incorporated use of the submitted music.
This permission applies to music used within the audiovisual production itself and does not authorize 805 Heat Wavz to separately distribute or sell the artist’s complete original master recording as part of a standalone soundtrack album, soundtrack EP, soundtrack single, or other separate full-song music release.
If 805 Heat Wavz wishes to include the artist’s complete original master on a separately distributed soundtrack or similar full-song release, the artist will be contacted and separate written terms, including any applicable compensation or royalty arrangement, must be agreed upon before that release.
8. BRANDED COMPILATIONS, DJ MIXES & COLLECTOR RELEASES
805 Heat Wavz may create branded DJ mixes, edited compilations, promotional collections, collector releases, and similar projects incorporating submitted music under the derivative works permission granted in these Terms.
These projects may contain excerpts, edited portions, transitions, blends, mashups, remixes, shortened versions, instrumentals, vocals, or substantial portions of submitted recordings. A submitted song may occasionally play substantially or nearly in full when it remains creatively incorporated into a continuous DJ mix or larger production.
Authorized projects may be released digitally or physically, including as downloads, CDs, vinyl records, cassettes, or other media, and may be sold, monetized, streamed, distributed, or offered free as promotional items, giveaways, contest prizes, limited editions, or collector releases.
Such projects may be created by 805 Heat Wavz or presented in collaboration with an authorized guest DJ or other participant as an official 805 Heat Wavz production. Participation in such a project does not give the guest DJ or participant independent rights to retain, copy, distribute, or separately use submitted source files.
This permission does not authorize 805 Heat Wavz to create a traditional compilation consisting of the artist’s complete original master presented as an individual standalone track. If 805 Heat Wavz wishes to include the complete original master as a separately presented full song on a compilation, collector release, soundtrack, or similar project, separate written terms, including any applicable compensation or royalty arrangement, must be agreed upon with the artist before that release.
9. MUSIC USAGE, BROADCAST, EVENT & PROMOTIONAL PERMISSION
By submitting music, the artist grants 805 Heat Wavz a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to play and use the submitted music for 805 Heat Wavz broadcasting, programming, promotion, and authorized events without requiring prior notification for each individual use.
Submitted music may be played through 805 Heat Wavz Podcast Radio, the 805HeatWavz.com website, official apps, affiliated programming, podcasts, livestreams, website features, social media, promotional clips, advertisements, collaborative playlists, station presentations, and other promotional channels operated by or on behalf of 805 Heat Wavz.
Submitted music may also be publicly played as part of authorized 805 Heat Wavz or Thug Money Entertainment events, showcases, parties, promotional appearances, live DJ performances, and other events where DJ HeatWavz or another authorized representative is appearing, performing, broadcasting, or presenting music on behalf of or in association with 805 Heat Wavz. This permission is subject to any separate public-performance, venue, promoter, publisher, performing-rights, or other licensing requirements that may independently apply to a particular event.
805 Heat Wavz may identify and represent submitted music as music played, featured, supported, or discovered through the 805 Heat Wavz brand and may use the artist name, song title, submitted artwork, and related approved information when reasonably necessary to promote the station, the music, participating artists, and 805 Heat Wavz services.
Authorized DJs, podcast hosts, producers, presenters, and content creators may use submitted music when participating in an official 805 Heat Wavz broadcast, event, show, promotional production, or other authorized activity. This permission does not grant those individuals an independent license to retain, redistribute, release, sell, or otherwise use the artist’s submitted source files outside the authorized 805 Heat Wavz activity.
Individual artist or track identification may be provided when practical or appropriate, but 805 Heat Wavz is not required to provide individual credit every time submitted music appears in a broadcast, mix, event, transition, promotional clip, or other authorized use.
By submitting artwork, including any optional back-cover or additional project images, or artist/group promotional photos, the submitter represents that they own or have the necessary rights, permissions, and clearances to provide those images and authorize their use.
The submitter grants 805 Heat Wavz permission to use, crop, resize, format, overlay, brand, caption, and otherwise reasonably adapt those images for promotional purposes, including adding 805 Heat Wavz logos, station branding, “Now Playing” graphics, track information, promotional text, or similar visual elements. These images may be used to identify, feature, advertise, and promote the submitted music, artist, group, or performers across 805 Heat Wavz websites, social media, apps, broadcasts, promotional materials, and other authorized channels.
10. ROYALTIES AND PAYMENT
Except where separately agreed in writing, 805 Heat Wavz assumes no royalty, license fee, or other payment obligation for uses of submitted Content expressly authorized under these Terms.
Separate full-song releases, soundtrack placements, traditional compilation placements, Support The Culture Store sales, or other uses requiring a separate agreement may include compensation, royalties, or revenue sharing as stated in that agreement.
Nothing in these Terms eliminates payments or rights that cannot legally be waived.
11. CONTENT REMOVAL, REJECTION & RIGHTS REVIEW
805 Heat Wavz reserves the right to accept, reject, suspend, remove, or discontinue use of submitted Content at its discretion.
If a credible copyright, ownership, licensing, sample, trademark, voice, likeness, or other rights complaint is made concerning submitted Content, 805 Heat Wavz may suspend use of the Content while the matter is reviewed.
805 Heat Wavz may request documentation showing that the submitter has the necessary rights or permissions. Failure to provide reasonable documentation may result in continued suspension or removal of the Content.
Removal or suspension does not automatically mean that 805 Heat Wavz has determined that either party in a dispute is legally correct.
12. WEBSITE USE AND LIABILITY
Users agree to use 805HeatWavz.com and its submission services lawfully and responsibly.
The submitter is responsible for the accuracy, legality, ownership, and authorization of the Content they provide.
805 Heat Wavz does not guarantee acceptance, continued radio rotation, uninterrupted Website operation, or continued availability of any particular service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, 805 Heat Wavz is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other damages resulting from use of the Website, submission or removal of Content, third-party services, or circumstances outside the reasonable control of 805 Heat Wavz.
Nothing in these Terms removes legal rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived.
13. SYNC LICENSING TERMS FOR SUBMITTED VIDEO CONTENT
By submitting a music video, visualizer, performance video, or other video Content, the submitter grants 805 Heat Wavz a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, edit, excerpt, crop, resize, synchronize, overlay, transition, combine, and otherwise adapt the submitted video and its accompanying audio for authorized 805 Heat Wavz programming and productions.
Submitted video Content may be used in documentaries, Heat Vision programming, livestreams, DJ sets, promotional shows, station promos, trailers, podcasts, broadcasts, social media content, branded content, and other authorized 805 Heat Wavz productions.
Submitted video Content may be combined with 805 Heat Wavz branding, logos, DJ footage, graphics, text, transitions, overlays, other submitted Content, or other material that 805 Heat Wavz is authorized to use.
Submitted video Content and authorized productions containing it may be displayed, streamed, broadcast, distributed, promoted, archived, or otherwise used across platforms operated by or on behalf of the 805 Heat Wavz brand, including current and future digital platforms and authorized physical media.
Submission of video Content does not transfer ownership of the original video or music to 805 Heat Wavz. The artist retains ownership and may continue to distribute, license, or monetize their work elsewhere.
If submitted video Content is designated as “Exclusive to 805 Heat Wavz,” the submitter must notify 805 Heat Wavz if the full-length video is later made publicly available through YouTube, social media, another website, video platform, broadcaster, or other public distribution channel. Short clips, previews, trailers, social media excerpts, or other limited portions of the video may be used by the artist or submitter to promote the music or direct audiences to 805 Heat Wavz without ending the video’s exclusive status. If the full-length video is made publicly available elsewhere, 805 Heat Wavz may update or remove the video’s exclusive designation and any related promotional benefits.
Artist or track identification may be provided when practical or appropriate, but individual credit is not required every time submitted video Content appears in an authorized use.
14. SUPPORT THE CULTURE STORE CONSIDERATION
Acceptance for 805 Heat Wavz Podcast Radio rotation may make a track eligible for consideration for placement in the Support The Culture Store, subject to membership, radio rotation, quality, and other Store requirements then in effect.
Radio submission, acceptance, airplay, or promotion does not guarantee Store placement and does not authorize 805 Heat Wavz to sell the artist’s complete original master as a standalone Store product.
An eligible artist requesting Store placement must submit a separate Store Placement Request and agree to a separate Store Distribution Agreement covering pricing, payments, revenue sharing, distribution rights, product availability, removal, and other Store-specific terms.
15. INDEMNIFICATION
The submitter is responsible for making sure submitted Content and the rights granted to 805 Heat Wavz are lawful and properly authorized.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the submitter agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless 805 Heat Wavz and its owners, operators, affiliates, employees, contractors, DJs, hosts, producers, and authorized representatives from third-party claims, losses, damages, costs, or reasonable legal expenses resulting from false rights representations, unauthorized Content, infringement, or the submitter’s breach of these Terms.
This does not require the submitter to accept responsibility for conduct caused solely by 805 Heat Wavz acting outside the permissions granted under these Terms.
16. CHANGES TO TERMS, REVIEW & WITHDRAWAL
805 Heat Wavz may update these Music Submission Terms as the station, Website, technology, promotional programs, Store programs, or applicable law changes. The current effective date and version number will be posted with these Terms, and submitters are encouraged to periodically review them and save a copy of the version in effect when they submit.
When reasonably practical, 805 Heat Wavz may provide notice of material changes through email, Website notices, account notifications, or other appropriate methods.
If a submitter does not agree with materially updated Terms, they may request withdrawal of their music from future radio rotation and future new uses governed by these Terms.
Withdrawal does not cancel or invalidate uses lawfully created, produced, broadcast, published, distributed, manufactured, sold, or otherwise exercised while permission was valid. 805 Heat Wavz may also retain records and copies reasonably necessary for archives, backups, accounting, rights documentation, disputes, and legal compliance.
Support The Culture Store removal, when applicable, is governed separately by the artist’s Store Distribution Agreement.
QUESTIONS ABOUT THESE TERMS
These Music Submission Terms are designed to give 805 Heat Wavz the permissions needed to broadcast, showcase, creatively feature, and promote submitted music and the artists behind it through the uses described in these Terms.
